In December 2020, the Federation and the School Board came to terms on a collective bargaining agreement. During the first year, teachers were paid $4000 in stipends with no permanent raise and school employees were paid $3700 in stipends.

For this year, teachers received two step raises from collective bargaining for a total of $1000 plus an $800 raise from the state for a total of $1800. Performance stipends of $500 will be awarded if: 1) a “highly effective” rating as defined by the COMPASS system was received for the previous school year; 2) the teacher was employed by the St. Tammany Parish School Board as of June 30, 2021; and 3) the teacher is employed on October 1, 2021. All three criteria must be met for the teacher to be eligible for the performance stipend. The performance stipend will be paid October 31, 2021.

For this year, school employees received two step raises from collective bargaining for a total of $700 plus a $400 raise from the state for a total of $1100.

From the collective bargaining agreement: "The Federation shall have the right to re-open negotiations on salaries for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years.

The parties agree to re-open all Collective Bargaining Agreements for renegotiation of salaries in good faith not later than Spring 2022."
