💡 Our Mission
Inspired by a real family of St. Tammany school employees facing hardship, the Federation Care Closet was created to ensure no educator or school worker in our community faces need alone.
Founded as a philanthropic initiative of the St. Tammany Federation of Teachers and School Employees, the Care Closet is a nonprofit community resource center preparing to provide food, hygiene products, and clothing to current and retired school employees in St. Tammany Parish.
We are an all-volunteer effort, a pending 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and currently preparing for our official launch.
Together, we are working to fill needs with dignity — one small act of care at a time.

🤝 Get Involved
The Federation Care Closet is a volunteer-powered project, and we’re looking for kind-hearted people who want to make a difference in the lives of St. Tammany school employees.
Whether you have a few hours to spare, an idea to share, or just want to stay in the loop, we’d love to connect with you. Volunteers may help organize supplies, assist with future donation drives, support outreach, or pitch in when we open our doors.
We’re also building an interest list to prepare for upcoming opportunities — including a possible school supply drive we plan to propose soon.
